Coming out
My biggest fear for a long time has been loosing out on being able to talk with my brother and sisters. Having been raised to respect my elders and parents is an ideology that runs deep in me. For years I have been delaying any type of physical transition after seeing my parents request my oldest sister not talk with my other siblings. Today however my youngest has turned 18 and is now an adult. She is free to make her own decisions and grown up enough where I want to share with her what I am going through. While Mom and Dad have not been told yet I did get the opportunity to talk with Momma at length about my plans. It was wonderful to hear the excitement in her voice when I told her that I was emailing the Doctor's office to schedule appointments for the beginning of HRT.
